I did a fun reel over on my Instagram with colors I’m wearing this month (check it out HERE) & thought it would be fun to also do a blog post with the still frames! I LOVE the rich colors of fall & actually wear most of them year round very often. I’ve never had my “colors” done, but if I did I’m fairly certain I would be an Autumn. I gravitate towards Autumn colors (when I’m not wearing neutrals!) & I feel like they look best on me.
Starting with the first color: DEEP RED I actually really love this color for November & December. Perfect for a bit of Christmas without going full-on holly jolly red!
Next up: MUSTARD YELLOW I feel like mustard yellow is on every basic girl’s list of favorite colors to wear–it’s just TOO good, especially in these fall months.
Thirdly: BURNT ORANGE my personal favorite forever & always amen! It’s just so deep & beautiful– what’s not to love?!
And last: SHADES OF BROWN This includes taupes, tans, browns, etc. All such great neutral colors & some of my favorites, of course!
EVERYTHING LINKED HERE!* (*minus the first burgundy/deep red cardigan which is older so I linked a super similar one!)
What is your favorite color to wear as we head into cooler months?
Tips for buying Blundstone boots: (links to all boots mentioned are at the bottom of the post)
Read a TON of reviews I read reviews on Blundstone’s site, on Amazon, on Backcountry, on Zappos. I wanted to get a feel for sizing & if people really felt these boots were worth it. The general consensus is they are. I also scoured instagram, Pinterest, & liketoknow.it for photos of people wearing them to see how they looked on different body types, sizes & with different outfits.
Consider sizing up a half size for comfort If you choose to get a different boot instead of the 1306 (which have the chisel toe–i.e. a square toe), I have read that going up a 1/2 size gives you a bit more wiggle room as far as width.
Consider which shaft height & ankle opening would look best on you I chose a mid-length shaft (& unfortunately they don’t give you this information, I just deducted it based on the look of all the different styles) because I wanted these to work with straight leg jeans, skinny jeans, leggings & dresses. There are different heights & different ankle openings (you can tell some ankle openings are wider than others) & I wanted a boot with a tighter ankle. I will say, these are tough to get on & off right now, but again, based on reviews they should loosen a bit with time.
Decide on a color& material For me, the rustic brown nubuck leather was a no-brainer because my wardrobe consists of mostly brown, but also because this rustic brown looks great with black. There is another style (the 1351’s, linked below) that has the rustic brown color & the stretchy part is black, which I considered, but I decided this color was best for me. There seems to be a black version of almost every style of boot as well. They also have a bunch of styles that come in suede, nubuck, canvas, & I think they even have a vegan leather option now.
Hopefully those tips are helpful in your search for your perfect Blundstone boots!
Long story short, a few years ago I was looking at a pair of boots from Target & I was so close to clicking “buy” on them when I stopped and thought to myself– “with where I live (very wet, slushy, snowy in the winter) I’ll need to buy another pair of these in a few years!”.
This is when I decided to look for an alternative & longer lasting option. Enter–Blundstone boots!
My sister has been talking about buying a pair for a long time so I started researching them and asked my followers about them (everyone who had a pair had raving reviews for them!).
I did extensive searching & reading ALL the reviews of the different styles (and there are quite a few styles!) & I settled on the 1306 pair.
It’s considered a “dress boot” so the tread isn’t as thick as the other styles, but I wanted this pair because of the height of the shaft, the fact that it has a chisel toe, and the color. It’s very similar to their other popular styles (the 550 and 1351,) but I liked the coloring, toe, & style of these just a tad more than the other options. The pair I bought isn’t thermal (like this boot), but with thick socks on, I find them warm & very comfortable for winter.
SIZING: I kept my regular size because the website said these run a bit longer than other styles & the chisel toe gave me more wiggle room. I’m glad I did because they’re very comfy (even with thick socks on!) and feel great on.
Final conclusion: these boots were definitely an investment–I have never spent this much on a pair of shoes before. But, they are made of quality leather & will last a good, long time if they’re taken care of! I am hoping I’ll love them for a long time & that I will get a lifetime of use out of them! I have treated mine with mink oil to condition the leather & I use a leather brush when they get dirty. The mink oil definitely darkened them but I don’t mind because I am taking good care of them.

I have found SO MANY cute fall things from amazon that I decided to do a series highlighting all of my great finds. This is part 3 and again, has a ton of cute & affordable options for fall. Obviously most of these can go into other seasons too, I’m just calling it Fall finds because that is the beginning of the cooler season around here & most places!
I have really been loving neutrals lately, so that’s what you’ll mostly see in this round-up. I find myself gravitating towards good neutral pieces when we head into cooler seasons, maybe because they’re easy to layer with? I’ll always go for a good pop of mustard or burnt orange though– It seems I can never resist those stunning colors!
I will link each outfit as much as I can under each photo using my affiliate links from LIKETOKNOW.it. If you use my links I will gain a small commission at no additional cost to you, allowing me to continue sharing all things fashion that I love! Thanks for your support– it means the world!
This knit, button front top is so good! I just got it in last week & I’ve already worn it 3 times! It runs oversized but its perfect. I am wearing the smallest size & its great for leggings (it has cute side slits!) and also tucks perfectly into a pair of skinny jeans. (my jeans are sold out in this wash, so I linked the same pair in a different wash/style — the distressing is a bit different).
I bought this shirt jacket (“shacket”) recently & it is the cutest plaid for fall! It is a tad itchy, so I washed it and it helped some, but I do prefer to wear it with longer sleeves most of the time. These sweatpants are from last fall & some of my amazon faves! They’re a soft, almost silky, cotton material and so comfy. Definitely a great pair of joggers! My slippers and tank are sold out or old, so I will link similar.
I shared an open knit cardigan in my first amazon fall finds post, and this one is another great one! I love open knits for transitional seasons, especially in a cream color! This one is a little more affordable & also comes in 3 other neutral colors.
One of my favorite purchases for fall is this sweater! It’s the brown color but definitely looks more burnt orange and I’m in love! Paired it with mules because they’re the cutest for the beginning of fall season.
This button front cardigan with the chevron knit is adorable! I have the khaki and I think it almost looks light pink in person, so be aware of that. It runs very oversized so it’s super comfy & cozy. Comes in a bunch of other colors (including what looks like a burnt orange!) I think my bodysuit is sold out from Soma Intimates, but I linked similar options.
I found this super cute sweater on amazon and it’s giving me all the fall feels! The brown color is more of a deep orange (which I LOVE!) and the stripes are so classic! It comes in a few more classic stripe colors and is the perfect addition to a fall wardrobe.
I paired it with my Levi wedgie skinny jeans which I think are sold out in this wash on amazon, but I linked a similar pair on the Levi’s website. I also love wearing my mules for early fall! They dress up an outfit but aren’t as hot as booties.
