A Linen Blend Striped Tee: 3 Ways to Wear it with Summer Pants

Striped shirts are a classic & a favorite of mine in all seasons– they add interest to an otherwise simple outfit & are very cute. A linen blend stripe tee is a perfect staple for spring & summer & the cute one I’m styling in this post is only $10! It comes in other colors & prints but I love the stripes.

Look number one features these linen blend jogger pants from Old Navy. I have owned them for at least 3 years now & they bring the style back every year. I just love this color (although they come in other great colors too!) and they’re super comfy. I paired them with this pair of double strap slides from Target ($14.99!) which are a bit elevated (great if you have foot issues & can’t handle the really flat shoes like me!) and comfortable.

Look number two is a pair of wide leg linen pants from Pinkblush (this particular pair has been VERY popular & may be out of stock so I will also link similar options. If you do purchase anything from Pinkblush be sure to use MARISSAELISE25 for 25% off). I love how comfy these are but can also easily be dressed up. I added my target sandals that look like Birkenstocks & a faux leather backpack.

Look number three is sporty & casual. I am wearing my tried and true favorite straight leg jeans from old navy (also older but they update and bring the style back every year– I will link this years version), super comfortable white sneakers from amazon and a baseball cap.

What I Wore This Week (Heat Wave Edition)

We had a small heatwave this past week, (it got up to 90 degrees!) so I’m wearing shorts & tanks; mostly in cotton & linen materials! I was really comfortable & happy in all of these outfits, even while chasing around my 4 year old and newly crawling 11 month old.

I really haven’t done an outfit round-up in awhile– I just haven’t had the time to get around to it. I definitely miss doing them though, so I am going to try to be better about getting these posts written during the summer. This past week I got dressed just about every day, so here is a little outfit round-up of what I wore!

I will link everything I’m wearing using affiliate links. This means if you choose to purchase something by clicking on one of my links, I earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks for your support! 🙂 I will do my best to find similar options to anything older or sold out! You can shoot me an email or a message on instagram if you have any questions!

Classic Basics to Help Build Your Wardrobe

I collaborated once with Mott & Bow on this blog post, and once again I am sharing some of their elevated basics. They have such great pieces that help you build your wardrobe and really make it work hard for you. I can’t say enough good things about these two tees I’m about to share, and both my husband and I are HUGE fans of their stretchy and comfortable jeans!

You can use MARISSAWEARSANOUTFIT for 10% off from Mott & Bow if you are a first time customer.

Quick reminder: I do use affiliate links to link what I’m wearing (or similar options if things are sold out/unavailable). This means I earn a small commission at no additional cost to you if you purchase anything using my links. Thanks for your support! 🙂

This crewneck sweatshirt is 100% cotton and super comfy. It has a relaxed fit & is so comfy! The cream color goes with everything in my closet! I paired it with these athletic shorts for a casual look!

This boxy tee is the PERFECT FIT! I sized up to a small (instead of my normal xs) because it is 100% cotton and I usually shrink my clothes. It is so soft, comfy and I love the boxiness of it for mid and high rise bottoms! I paired it with wide leg linen crop pants for a comfy, yet elevated look.

This tee is the same as the above black tee in white. I LOVE a white tee for spring/summer and like I said up there, the fit of this tee is EVERYTHING (I’m hoping they bring it back in the sold out gray color in my size!). I paired it with Mott & Bow’s mom ridge jeans and they’re so stretchy and comfy!

My husband is wearing the Slim Warren jeans and he loves them. He usually changes into sweats as soon as he gets home from work at night, but if he’s wearing any of his Mott & Bow jeans, he wears them all day. He loves the stretch!

How to Style: Short Overalls

I’ve styled overalls on my blog before (you can check out that post here!) but it’s been about two years now & I wanted to do an updated post on styling overalls. In my last post, I styled denim pant overalls. I recently picked up a pair of 100% cotton short overalls (or shorteralls as they’re sometimes called) & they’re so cute and easy to wear! I am styling them 4 ways in this blog post. The cotton material makes them perfectly breathable for warmer weather!

If you prefer video content, you can watch the reel HERE!

As always, I will link everything I can at the bottom of the post. If something is older or out of stock, I will do my best to link similar options. I use affiliate links, which means I make a small commission if you purchase something using my links. Thanks for your support–it means the world to me!

I think this first look is just super adorable! A striped linen blend tee (that’s only $10?!) with cotton shortalls?! So cute!

This second looks feels so casual and cute! A sweater makes it cozy on top and cooler on the bottom.

This third outfit is perfect for those really hot days! A tank under overalls always looks super sweet. I think this color of the madewell tanks is sold out, but I will link the tanks anyway (in lots of colors!) because they’re some of my favorites for summer!

The final look is a favorite– I loved shackets for fall & winter and a gauzy/linen/cotton button up shirt is the perfect summer version of a shacket. Effortless and cool!

Would you wear short overalls (shorteralls)?! If so, which look would you try?
