A Few Outfits I’ve Worn Recently

It’s time again for me to share some of the outfits I’ve worn out and about in real life! These are outfits I’ve worn for church, to grocery shop, to my son’s school, to meetings, family gatherings, etc.

As always, I find my style leans a little more “granola”, which to me, just means functional with a cute twist!

Everything I’m wearing (or some similar options if the item is older) is linked under each photo! These links are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission. Thank you for being here and supporting me🤎

Loving this brown sherpa vest! You’ll see it multiple times in this round up.

Tops to Wear with Barrel Jeans

Okayyy, so you grabbed the barrel jeans and yes—they’re insanely comfy—but now you’re staring at your closet like… what do I even wear with these?! Don’t worry, I’ve got you. Here are 5 cozy tops I’m pairing with mine for cooler weather!

If you prefer video content, watch the reel HERE.

As always, everything I’m wearing is linked under each photo. If something is older or sold out, I’ll do my best to link something similar—you’ll see a note in the LTK app if it’s not the exact item. These are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you shop through them. Thanks so much for your support, as always!

1. A basic long sleeve

A basic long sleeve top is the easiest one to think of, in my opinion. A basic long sleeve looks great tucked into a pair of barrel jeans. Add a necklace, scarf, or vest or accessory to make it even more fun!

2. A sweater

your sweater can be a crewneck, a v-neck, a boat neck or any type. Mine is a crewneck and it’s a little more oversized with a kind of high-low hem. It’s one of my favorites and I think it looks so cozy with barrel jeans.

3. A cardigan (unbuttoned as a layer or buttoned as a top)

A cardigan is one of my favorite layering pieces. Throw it over a tank, a tee, or a long sleeve and you’re super cozy. In the last few years I’ve also started wearing cardigans as tops, which is a great way to get more wear out of your cardigans!

4. A sweatshirt

I’m wearing a crewneck sweatshirt here, but it can be a henley sweatshirt, a 1/2 zip sweatshirt, or whichever type is your favorite. I think this is a cute and casual look paired with the barrel jeans.

5. A blouse

I don’t have a whole lot of blouses in my wardrobe, but I do like to have a few for an easy and cute top to pair with jeans. This green one has a more cropped fit, so it pairs well with the barrel jeans. If I was wearing a less cropped blouse, I would probably do a little front tuck.

What kind of tops do you like to pair with your barrel jeans? Did I forget any that you like to wear? Let me know!

End of August outfits

There’s an array of outfits here because we had some warm weather & some cooler weather! We had play dates, a wedding (and weekend away!), a movie night, traveling, and days at home.

I’ve added affiliate links below each outfit, so if you decide to make a purchase, I’ll earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you. Thank you for your continued support and generosity!

I started off this day wearing linen shorts and sandals (you can see that outfit a little farther down), but then it got colder and rainier and I went to the movies so I changed into jeans and my waterproof vessi sneakers
