My New Favorite Fall Cardigan (in 2 colors!)

I am a cardigan girl through and through. I’m not sure why– maybe it’s the ease of just throwing one on or maybe it’s the coziness of them, but I am a sucker for a good one, & oh boy did I find a good one! This cozy cardigan from H&M is $30 and is a great lookalike for the very popular Jenni Kayne Cocoon Cardigan which is over $400.

I have been on the lookout for a similar one because a favorite blogger of mine, Shannon from @itsybitsyindulgences has been wearing & styling hers for years & I just love every outfit she’s worn with it!

A few things about the cardigan:
-It has side slits which I think is super flattering on a smaller/petite person like myself. It’s not as overwhelming & bulky looking.
-The button holes are difficult to get the buttons through the first few times you wear it.
-The sleeves are quite long. This doesn’t bother me because I think it’s just as cute oversized & I also think it’s cute with the sleeves rolled up a bit
-The fit is very generous & oversized. Stay true to size for an oversized fit or size down for a tighter fit.
-The ribbed material & buttons just make it so stinking cute!

So, without further ado, here is the cardigan. I bought it in both colors (the taupe & the cream) & love both!

This is the taupe & it is just such a perfect color. I really love it with my birkenstock boston clog lookalikes. It’s all just a cozy vibe. I’m also wearing my new favorite Madewell Jeans (I LOVE THEM!) & highly recommend them.

Here is the lighter color, the cream, & it will match with everything! I went for a comfy casual look here with, again, the birkenstock boston clog lookalikes & some comfy sweat shorts & a tank.

Three Ways to Style A Shacket (AKA Shirt Jacket)

Shackets are all the rage & so trendy– for good reason! They are a great way to layer & add warmth & cuteness to a look. I love the look & they’re easy to throw on. There are a ton of different materials– corduroy, plaid, boucle, sherpa, you name it there is a shirt jacket for it.
The majority of shackets have either a very oversized look or are just slightly oversized.
Today I am styling a less oversized shacket from Style Trolley, an online boutique with so many cute items. If you want to pick up my shacket, you can here (use StyleTrolley20 for 20% off)!
This shacket is a boucle material and heavier weight. I love the neutral colors, the snap buttons, and the oversized pockets!

If you prefer video content, you can check out the reel of me styling it HERE!

As always, I will link everything else I am wearing at the bottom of the post. I use affiliate links which means I make a small commission if you choose to purchase something using my links, at no additional cost to you. Thanks! 🙂

Look number 1: a long sleeve top, straight leg jeans, and chelsea boots. This look is super trendy with the straight legs and the lug sole chelsea boots. It’s also very comfy and it would look cute to tie the shacket around your waist.

Look number 2: a hoodie, leggings, & sneakers. This is a sportier look. I love the look of a hoodie with a shacket & this makes the shacket extra cute & cozy! I recently picked up some taupe leggings which would also look super cute with this shacket!

Look number 3: skinny jeans, sock boots, and shacket buttoned up (tucked or untucked). This look is more dressed up because of the shoes, but I feel like you can either keep it more casual with the shacket untucked, or make it look more dressed up by front tucking. Either way, so so cute!

Do you own a shacket yet? Which look would you try?

A Neutral Shirt Worn 3 Ways

This taupe button front shirt has been one of my most worn tops this fall. It’s so easy to style, so comfy & I ordered a neutral color so it works perfectly with so much in my wardrobe. I did a reel styling it (you can see it here) earlier this fall. I plan to wear it SO MUCH as we head into winter as well. Maybe I’ll need to do another styling session styling it as it gets cooler out.

Here are the three ways I styled it:

This is obviously super casual (& since this, I have gotten some skin colored no-show socks, HA!) & comfy. I would even add a baseball cap and maybe a long coat to make this even cuter!

The hat & sock booties are fun additions to dress this top up. I paired them with my favorite levi wedgie skinny jeans (sold out in this wash, but so many other washes available!).

A midi floral skirt & mules are always so fun. I love this printed one with this top!

Which of these three ways do you think you’d wear? My favorite is with the jeans, sock booties, and hat!

Colors I’m Wearing in November

I did a fun reel over on my Instagram with colors I’m wearing this month (check it out HERE) & thought it would be fun to also do a blog post with the still frames! I LOVE the rich colors of fall & actually wear most of them year round very often. I’ve never had my “colors” done, but if I did I’m fairly certain I would be an Autumn. I gravitate towards Autumn colors (when I’m not wearing neutrals!) & I feel like they look best on me.

Starting with the first color: DEEP RED
I actually really love this color for November & December. Perfect for a bit of Christmas without going full-on holly jolly red!

Next up: MUSTARD YELLOW
I feel like mustard yellow is on every basic girl’s list of favorite colors to wear–it’s just TOO good, especially in these fall months.

Thirdly: BURNT ORANGE
my personal favorite forever & always amen! It’s just so deep & beautiful– what’s not to love?!

And last: SHADES OF BROWN
This includes taupes, tans, browns, etc. All such great neutral colors & some of my favorites, of course!

(*minus the first burgundy/deep red cardigan which is older so I linked a super similar one!)
