Cozy and Comfy Outfit Round-Up

I don’t have too much to say except that it’s the beginning of February and I expect we’ll continue to have winter weather for at least 3 more months. We get a longgggg winter season in northern NY, which makes for lots of outfits with layers. It’s a good thing I enjoy cozy, layered style because I really have no other choice 😉

As usual, each outfit will be linked under each photo. I use affiliate links, which means if you purchase using my links, I make a small commission at no additional cost to you. I always appreciate your support. Thank you!

This outfit makes me look more athletic than I truly am haha. I love my Vessi sneakers because they’re waterproof and comfy!

I bought this shacket last year (it’s unavailable now, but I found similar) and wore it a ton! I love the color and how it’s so cozy. I thought it was fun to match my beanie and shacket.

I think this outfit would be a great teacher outfit. The corduroy pants have a stretchy waistband in the back and come in a ton of colors! I made it more cohesive by matching my shoes, top, and bag.

I’ve worn this fair isle sweater a ton since purchasing it in the fall. It’s currently sold out, but they do restock it often.

I shared on my Instagram that I used to wear scarves a lot in highschool and college and I am wanting to bring them back to my wardrobe again—they add fun pattern and interest to my outfits.

I love the color of these joggers. So sunshiney and fun.

I’ve worn this set a bunch since getting it in November. The color is so pretty and it’s such a comfy set.

Someone on tiktok asked me to share how to wear oversized cardigans without buttons, and this is an outfit I came up with. My sweater is older so I linked similar options.

These green barrel leg pants from Quince are so comfy. They come in other colors (burnt orange & black) and I’m considering ordering the black as well.

I found these Levi jeans in the back of my closet. I bought them two years ago and they were way too small, so I was going to sell them on poshmark. I’ve lost some weight and they fit me great now and I like the way they look cuffed up like this.

5 ways to layer a white tee & jeans for winter

A white tee & jeans is a great base for pretty much any season and time of the year. if I don’t know what to wear, a good place to start is putting on these two items and going from there.

Layering items, changing out shoes, and adding different accessories changes up the look entirely and certainly proves that you don’t need a whole lot of different clothes to have a versatile wardrobe. I’m wearing a short sleeve tee shirt in these photos, but I think a long sleeve tee would work as well, and it would add some extra warmth.

I will link each outfit below each photo. I do use affiliate links and this just means that if you purchase something using these links, I make a small commission at no additional cost to you. It helps support this blog and my family and I always appreciate it. Thank you!

The first look is layering a cardigan sweater over a white tee. I chose to button mine up, but you could also leave it unbuttoned if you prefer. This cardigan is part of a matching set from Amazon and I’m a big fan of this color.

I paired the cardigan with my Birkenstock Boston clogs and some layered necklaces.

This look turned out better than I expected— a black denim jacket with black Chelsea boots and a black leather purse. I love how simple it is, but it feels super put together. I think changing the denims out would look really great too (a blue denim jacket and black jeans). T

his jacket is from Kut from the Kloth and is very comfy with a good amount of stretch to it.

For this look, I just layered this taupe brown sweater over a white tee. I’m a big fan of how the collar of a white tee looks when it peeks out from under a crewneck. This sweater is 100% cotton and one of my favorites from Quince— it comes in so many colors.

To keep it matching and functional, I wore my blundstone boots. These are the 1306 boots in rustic brown. I have oiled them with mink oil several times, so they do look darker than when I originally bought them.

These last two outfits are the same outfit with two different scarves— I am really into a bright pop of fun color lately, but I know not everyone is, so I wanted to add a neutral option as well.

I truly love both outfits and would wear each of them, depending on how I’m feeling and wanting to look. Both scarves are from Amazon and two of my favorites. The shacket is also from Amazon and I own it in this green and also the taupe color.

I know it’s controversial, but I like to wear my bearpaw slippers as shoes out and about. I feel like they match my cozy, comfy, casual vibe and they’re also super cute.

If you’d like to save this post and graphic for inspiration for later, at the top left of each photo there should be an option to “save” on Pinterest.

Let me know if you’d enjoy a part 2 of styling a white tee and jeans. In my opinion, the style opportunities are endless!

First Couple of Weeks of January Outfit Round-Up

The first couple weeks of January have been cold and snowy. We’ve got another snowstorm forecasted for this weekend and we’re mostly planning on hunkering down and staying home. Here are some of the outfits I’ve worn. I like to describe my style as cozy/casual/comfy and I think these outfits reflect that. My goal has been to add a little more fun to my outfits this year and I plan to do that with color, texture, and shape. I generally add texture and shape to most outfits, so I’m mainly focusing on adding some fun colors here and there. You’ll see that below!

All outfits are linked below each picture. I use affiliate links and this just means that if you buy something using these links, I earn a small commission, at no additional cost to you. It helps support this blog and my family. Thank you!

3 Ways to Layer a Striped Top in the Winter

A striped top is a must in any wardrobe. It is a great layering piece that adds interest no matter the season– a striped tank in the summer, a tee in the spring, and a long sleeve in the fall & winter.
I think the most versatile colors are black (or dark navy!) and white but you could choose whatever colors go best with your wardrobe. I picked up this one at Walmart & it is all sold out at this point, but I will link similar options as a striped long sleeve top is fairly easy to find.

I will be layering this striped top three different ways but keeping the base the same–striped top, straight leg jeans, & sock booties.

If you prefer video content, check out my styling reel HERE!

As always, I will link the items I am wearing (or similar if unavailable!) using affiliate links. This means I get a small commission if you choose to shop using my links & it will be no additional cost to you. Thanks! 🙂

This first look is certainly “on-trend”–layering using a shirt jacket, or shacket, as the kids are calling them these days. I really love the shacket trend because I live in Northern NY where it is COLD, so an extra warm layer that is also cute works great! This one is from Amazon and has been one of my favorite shackets to style all winter long!

This second look has a crew neck sweatshirt layered over the striped top. It’s comfy, it’s cute, it’s casual. What more could you want? This cute one from amazon has a tulip hem (easier to see when I link it below) & is a great color.

The third look is a classic–a cardigan and stripes is a tale as old as time. I love a good cardigan outfit & even better if it’s neutral tones. Mine is old, but I linked a bunch of tan/taupe options below.

Which look is your favorite?
Do you like to layer or is it too bulky for you?
Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
