It’s the middle of summer which means we’ve probably all been swimming a lot & spending time by the pool or at the beach. I just recently got the go-ahead to swim again after having my baby & I’m psyched to be able to get back in the water!
On that note, I wanted to share my go-to summer swimsuit coverups! These are my favorite ways to coverup when I’m taking a break from swimming but want to keep my suit on.
As always, I will link options (and similar) at the end of the post using my affiliate links. If you shop using these links I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks for supporting me 🙂
In the summer pretty much all I wear is sandals. I’m not much of a sneaker girl, and I like to let my feet out for the 3 months of the year its actually warm here in Northern NY. I’ve rounded up my top 5 favorite sandals of this year. Some of them I’ve had for a few years and some of them are newer finds. I will link all of the shoes at the bottom of this post!

These are my oldest pair of shoes. They’re a great smaller wedge and I wear them to DEATH. I’ve had this pair for years (from Target) and I’ll link this years version of them with a thinner ankle strap.
These lace up sandals from Old Navy are so bohemian and fun! I had another pair of lace up sandals but they were bulkier. These are a “barely there” kind of sandal and I love the look of them!
These T-strap rubber sandals are some of the comfiest shoes I own. They are Crocs and super neutral so they go with everything!
These Target heels are one of my newer purchases. They have a small block heel and are so comfortable!
I love these woven slides that I picked up this year. They have a cushioned footbed, a little bit of height (which is great for my feet issues!) and they come in widths if you have wider feet.
I had photos done last week & one of the hardest (but most fun!) parts of preparing for a photoshoot—whether it’s a family shoot, couples/engagement shoot, brand shoot or whatever—is trying to figure out what to wear! I searched the internet and ordered a bunch of different dresses and I found a few outfits that I loved for our photos.
After a friend reached out looking for help with what to wear for her engagement shoot, I thought I would compile some great dresses for photos here in a blog post.
I love a good white dress– it feels timeless and classic and photographs beautifully.

I would classify my style as more boho, flowy and free, so you will see a reflection of that in the dresses and outfits I’ve chosen! I love all warm colors (red, pink, orange, yellow, burgundy, etc.), but I tried to add some dresses and skirts of different colors because I know not everyone loves or thinks they look good in those colors.
Other great options including prints, bright colored dresses, maxis, minis, and midis: (Scroll through using the left and right arrows to browse the dresses)
I also know that not everyone wants to or feels comfortable wearing a dress, so I added some skirt/top combinations, some rompers, and a few cute tops to wear with jeans or pants!
Options including maxi skirts, shorter skirts, tops, jeans, and cute blouses: (Scroll through using the left and right arrows to browse the options)
I hope this post helps you find something that you love and feel good in for your photos!
