Like everyone else, I am excited for long summer days, colorful outfits, and school being out. My kids get out this week and they are so excited and can’t wait! Here are some of the outfits I’ve been wearing as we lead up to these days. As usual, I like to keep my outfits simple enough to be able to run around and chase my kiddos in, but also cute enough to feel good and like myself. It’s a balance that is sometimes difficult and sometimes easy, depending on weather, what we have going on, and how my body is feeling that day (and if it’s that time of the month, haha). But for the most part, I feel like I was able to do it with these looks. What do you think?

Love linen and cotton together. It’s a winning combo for summer!
The weather has been so back and forth, as I’m sure you can tell from this post. We’ll have a few nice days and then it gets cooler again, so no putting away my pants or long sleeves or sweatshirts! I don’t mind it that much, it’s pretty typical for Northern NY. I am looking forward to a little bit more consistent warm weather so we can finally swim though! Here are ten of the outfits I wore in May!

I’ve been loving these shorts! Mom friendly (4″ inseam!) and so cute. I am wearing the medium wash. My sweater tank is a little cutie! I also own the white. My necklace is from Acorns and Twine.
This outfit is a super comfy one! These pants are organic cotton, petite friendly, and cute! I paired them with an easy built in bra tank and a linen blend button up and sandals, and fun necklace, also from Acorns and Twine.
These ripstop shorts are sooooo cute– great for momming, hiking, yard work and all the things! I paired them with this adorable little pointelle tee from Walmart, my black gauze cotton button up and black sandals.
We had a cold Sunday morning, and I decided to try the little “scarf around the waist” trend. I loved how it turned out! It took this pretty simple black and white outfit and made it wayyu cuter!
I love a graphic tee outfit. especially if it’s colorful and fun like this one! I paired this floral stamp tee with gingham boxer shorts and teva sandals. so comfy!
These pants have been a go-to this spring! I bought this color and the green and I have reached for them more than I ever imagined! They’re loose and comfy and make me feel like a cool mom.
I wanted to post a round up of all the outfits I wore on our family vacation in Florida (I’ll be posting a separate post of all the swimsuits I brought and wore). From dinner out, to travel days, to ice cream outings, mini golf, and more— I’ve got an array of outfits that were comfy for the extremely hot weather (there were multiple 90° days that felt like over 100° which is A LOT for this northeast girl) and everything we did! Whether you’re planning a trip to Florida or anywhere close to the beach this summer, I hope this gives you some inspiration for what to pack— flowy breathable dresses, fun floral prints, linen shorts, and fun bags that make every outfit cuter! Save this post to come back to when you’re packing for your next vacation.

These red pants, high neck tank and cotton button up were my travel outfit on the way there. Super comfortable and easy!
The first day we were there was sort of colder and rainy (only 70 degrees) and we went grocery shopping and got everything we needed. I wore this adorable seashell tee and these linen/cotton pull on tie shorts. Soooo comfy!
I wore this linen dress to go tour the Henry Ford and Thomas Edison Winter Estates. It was flowy and comfy and I love the bright red. I actually own this dress in 3 colors now–sand (tan), black, and red. Linen and cotton are the ultimate materials to wear when its hot out. They’re breathable and help keep you cooler.
Another flowy dress for a walk around the neighborhood we were staying in. This is a dress I’ve owned for years–I love the green color (although it comes in so many other colors!) and how it barely touches your body, keeping you cool in hot weather.
I wore these comfy boxer shorts and this flowy tank for a day of hanging out at our house. I love pairing these gingham boxers with cute tops in summer! I own them in this green and white combo, the black and white, and the red and white striped.
This fun printed dress was a great option for going out to get ice cream. It’s so fun with its vibrant colors! Orange is my favorite color but it also comes in other colors too.
This outfit was perfect for going to see Alligators. We booked a trip on an airboat and got to see them in the wild, which was so fun! These shorts are a ripstop material, making them super durable. I really love this little denim tank I bought last year–it goes with everything and is so cute! They brought it back this year in a darker wash and this wash in a more square neck version.
While we were in Florida, my parents came to visit for a few days. This is what I wore while we hung out at the house and waited for them to get there. The neutral stripes on this dress are so cute and coastal!
Another outfit for spending time by the pool! Love these comfy denim shorts–they have a 3.5″ inseam which is perfect for moms! I paired them with a white sweater tank and a fun necklace duo.
I wore this outfit on Mother’s Day. My Mom and I went out and did a little shopping. I love a gauze cotton dress and this one is no exception–flowy, comfortable and soooo pretty.
This organic cotton white eyelet dress is BEAUTIFUL. I wore it to dinner out and I actually got dressed and ready after the beach in a porta potty so that was definitely an experience. ha. These Croc sandals are awesome dressed up or dressed down!
This flowy dress is sooo comfy. I paired it with my Teva sandals, a fun colorful beaded necklace and a matching crossbody bag. We had a sick kiddo this day, so we hung out by the pool and at our house while he rested.
Another outfit I changed into at a little beach bathroom–I wore this pretty floral dress out to dinner. I felt like the vibrant colors, fun citrus print and flowy fit made it perfect for a beach vacation!
My travel outfit home. These little striped pants are petite-friendly and so comfy. I paired them with a high neck tank, linen button up, crossbody bag, and comfortable Birkenstock sandals.
If you’re living in linen, layers and flowy outfits lately… me too! And of course, I’m wearing all the earth tones as usual. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but you don’t have to wear pastels just beacuse it’s spring! I like to wear some bright colors, but I generally just love to stick to my favorite earthy tones the most–greens, browns, oranges, creams, etc.
These are outfits I’ve worn for running errands, momming, sports practice, seeing friends and family, church and more. I’m soooo happy it’s warming up! We are so excited for summer.

I love these pants! I have them in multiple colors, as well as this cotton sweater.
I know long denim skirts are controversial, and I was definitely against them at first, but I think they can be styled so cute and they don’t have to look super conservative if done right!
