3 Petite-Friendly Pairs of Leggings

As a petite woman, it’s always hard to find things that are the right length. Most dresses, pants, and leggings are too long and don’t fit right, so when I DO find items that fit me well, I want to shout it from the rooftops! I recently found this brand on Amazon (IUGA) and tried some of their leggings, and all 3 pairs are the perfect length for petites!

Check them out below!

High Support Leggings—I’m wearing size small in forest green. Flattering, compressive, and so comfy. My zip up jacket is the espresso color and a perfect fit for petites!

Heatlab Fleece-Lined—I’m wearing size small in black. Cozy and warm for chilly fall and winter days.

Buttery Soft—wearing size small in brown. They fit like a second skin and moves with you.

Affordable Denim Review: Quince Jeans Try-On, Sizing, and Favorite Styles

I know a lot of us have been curious about Quince jeans—I’ve definitely been wondering if they live up to the hype like the rest of their pieces. At $50, the price point is hard to beat. Honestly, a big chunk of my closet is Quince at this point. They make such great, affordable pieces in natural and organic materials, and I’ve loved every single thing I’ve ordered.

I picked up four pairs of their jeans to test out, and here are my thoughts! I am 5’1” for reference.

If you prefer video content, the reel is HERE.

Luna Stretch Slim Straight Jeans— wearing size 25 in the 26” inseam here but reordering in 24 instead because they stretch with wear (I think my Quince denim size is my smaller size).

These are a cross between a skinny and a straight and such a good and comfy option! Love the wash (seaside blue) and how comfy they are. They’re also a great length with my blundstone boots!

Bella Stretch Patch Pocket Wide Leg Jeans—wearing size 24 inseam the 26”

These are SO cute! I love the patch pockets, I love the wash (wearing the faded black—but they come in other washes too), and I love how stretchy and comfy they feel!

Bella Stretch Straight Jeans—wearing size 24 in the 26” inseam

I wasn’t sure about these when I first tried them on because they flare a bit at the bottom instead of being totally straight. I was thinking about sending them back, but after trying them on with some different shoes I decided to keep them. They’re also so stretchy and comfy!

Bella Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans—wearing size 24 in the 28” inseam (I previously thought these were the 26” inseam but after trying on all the other jeans, I realized that they accidentally sent me the 28”. I like the longer length but I may also try the 26” and see if they’re more of a straight fit instead of a flare)

These are more of a baggy flare jean, at least in the 28” inseam on me. They’re super comfy and cute though!

In conclusion: if you’re looking for comfy, stretchy, affordable jeans that actually come in different lengths (yay for petites and tall girls!), Quince is such a good option. I’m keeping them all (but exchanging the first pair for my smaller size)🙌🏽

A FEW QUESTIONS ON QUINCE DENIM:

•should I size down? I went with my smaller size and prefer that fit!

•do they stretch so much that you have to wash after every wear? I rarely wash my jeans (unless they’re dirty or really need it) and just this week I’ve worn the straight leg pair 4 separate times and think they’re a comfy stretchy fit, but not a “stretch out” denim, so I would say no!

•which wash is this? seaside blue! The jeans sell out often, but they also restock often, so sign up to be waitlisted and they’ll message you when they’re back in stock.

Which is your favorite pair of the 4? I originally said the patch pocket wide leg, but after wearing the straight leg ones for over a week, it’s a toss up between those and the straight leg pair!

Newbella Shoes Try-On & Review (two pairs of slip on shoes)

We’re having a bit of an extra-long summer where I live, which means my warmer weather clothing and shoes get an extended stay in my closet and more chances to be worn. I’m totally okay with it though, because I love slip on shoe and sandal season. I have two great pairs of slip-on shoes to share from Newbella (shoes were gifted, but all thoughts & reviews are my own).

This first pair is an open toe mule style sandal. They’re the MOUSSE FIT Women Knit Detail Chunky Mule Sandals. I’m wearing them in the yellow, which adds a fun pop of color to an otherwise neutral outfit. I had a hard time deciding between the green and the yellow– both colors are so fun! They’re soft and stretchy and the square toe is currently very on trend. They have a small block heel which makes them perfect to wear for all occasions–with dresses, skirts, jeans, or trousers!

The second pair of shoes I want to share are the MOUSSE FIT Women Knit Detail Flat Sandals. Again, they’re a comfortable slip on shoe and they’re made with a soft stretchy upper and a rubber sole. I chose the neutral apricot color, but again the green was a contender, and I also loved the look of the black. These are the PERFECT pair of shoes to slip on with any type of outfit. I paired them with jeans and a long duster cardigan, but they would look equally as cute with a dress or a skirt.

Jewelry: My Top Picks for Brands and Pieces

I wear jewelry just about every day, and my favorite pieces are typically simple, yellow gold pieces. They add interest, personality, sparkle, and make me feel more put together. If you’re interested in adding classic, simple, and beautiful jewelry to your collection, this blog post is a great resource. It will feature my favorite jewelry pieces and brands that I believe are worth exploring.

For me, necklaces are my most worn pieces–I have about 6-8 necklaces I cycle through and then I generally wear a simple pair of hoops most days (I have two favorites).
There are 3 brands that I typically wear the most, & I’ll be sharing my everyday go-to pieces and the pieces I wear when I want to dress up a little more.

The first brand I want to mention is Sela Designs.
Sela Designs is a remarkable brand that deserves recognition for its outstanding commitment to making a positive impact. Their mission revolves around donating 100% of their profits to charities that aid victims of human trafficking, individuals trapped in poverty, and orphaned children. The combination of their philanthropic efforts and their dedication to crafting ethically made, top-notch jewelry makes them an excellent choice for conscientious customers. As an added bonus, I am thrilled to collaborate with them and share a special discount code with you. By using the code MARISSA10 at checkout, you can enjoy a 10% discount on any purchase from their shop.

The first piece I want to share from Sela Designs is the Everyday Hoop Earrings. These are one of my favorites & most worn pairs of earrings. I love that they are lightweight, simple, and easy to wear. They clip into themselves, (so my hair doesn’t get stuck in them) & they are a perfect amount of thickness to add interest to your outfit.

The second piece I love from Sela Designs are the Ivory Lake Earrings. These earrings are ones I wear when I want to dress up a little bit more and they are stunning– the raffia adds beautiful texture to your outfit and the disks are a neutral bone color.

I own multiple other pairs of earrings from Sela Designs, but the colors I own them in are sold out. I will share the other colors here: The Mia Earrings (I own the black) & the Oakleigh Earrings, which are pictured on the left (I own the cognac).

There are many other pieces from Sela Designs that include more earrings, necklaces, & bracelets, so be sure to check them out!

The second brand I want to share is GLDN. They have an extensive range of amazing pieces, and what’s even more exciting is that a lot of their collection is customizable! This means you can create jewelry that perfectly reflects your personal style. I have had the pleasure of partnering with GLDN in the past, although regrettably, I don’t have a discount code to offer in this blog post. If I am able to secure one in the future, I will update this post and include it here.

I have been wearing GLDN jewelry for 5-6 years. It all began when my husband gifted me with a beautifully crafted necklace from GLDN when they were still solely on Etsy. Since then, I have become a fan and collector of their pieces. In fact, I can confidently say that the majority of the necklaces I wear most frequently are from GLDN. So, needless to say, I have an assortment of their pieces to share with you.

The necklace my husband bought me is the Lucine Necklace. It’s so dainty and gorgeous! I love the hammered open circle detail and how simple and sweet it is. I have it in the 15-17″ option, but I also own a necklace extender that I use when I want to make my shorter necklaces longer. The Mona Necklace is very similar to the one I own, it’s just a smaller circle (9mm instead of 11mm).

The next necklace I wear ALL the time is the Marama Necklace. I customized mine with a hammered finish and mine is the 19-21″ length. It looks great all on its own or layered with any of my other necklaces.

Another favorite is the Small Flora Link Necklace. I had mine customized with my birth month flower and I have the 15-17″. I love that this one is suspended (like the Lucine circle necklace) because it stays in place and doesn’t spin around.

Another necklace I wear often is the Friendship Beads Necklace. I customized mine with 3 beads to represent my two sons and my husband, but you can add up to 7 beads. This necklace is so simple and pretty.

Other necklaces I wear often are Maia Gemstone Necklace (you can customize the bead colors– I think my color is sold out), the Personalized Mary Necklace (with the starburst illustration on it), and the Personalized Florence Necklace (mine is hammered).

LLUME is the third and final brand I want to share. They are a small brand that creates beautiful and affordable jewelry. A lot of their pieces are meant to mix and match and be worn and styled together. I also love that they offer free shipping and returns! LLUME reached out to me in the past to collaborate and they were kind enough to give me a discount code for this post. You can use the code “MARISSA15” to get 15% off any purchase from their store.

My favorite piece from their store is the Prosecco Beaded Hoop earrings (I am wearing them in the picture to the right, although they’re hard to see). I have owned them for a year now, and I’m not kidding when I say they are my most worn pair of earrings. They’re small, lightweight, and the beaded texture is just too cute. If I wanted to sleep in them I could because they close into themselves and are so comfortable.

The other piece I own from Llume is the Colette Necklace. It’s a simple and dainty gold chain that’s perfect for everyday wear and layering. It looks great on it’s own or combined with other necklaces.

Jewelry is a great way to add some personality and sparkle to any outfit. Whether you prefer delicate pieces or bold statement jewelry, there’s something out there for everyone. What are your favorite jewelry pieces? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope this post was helpful and if you have any questions, please feel free to comment, send me an email or send me a message and I’d be happy to help!
