My New Favorite Fall Cardigan (in 2 colors!)

I am a cardigan girl through and through. I’m not sure why– maybe it’s the ease of just throwing one on or maybe it’s the coziness of them, but I am a sucker for a good one, & oh boy did I find a good one! This cozy cardigan from H&M is $30 and is a great lookalike for the very popular Jenni Kayne Cocoon Cardigan which is over $400.

I have been on the lookout for a similar one because a favorite blogger of mine, Shannon from @itsybitsyindulgences has been wearing & styling hers for years & I just love every outfit she’s worn with it!

A few things about the cardigan:
-It has side slits which I think is super flattering on a smaller/petite person like myself. It’s not as overwhelming & bulky looking.
-The button holes are difficult to get the buttons through the first few times you wear it.
-The sleeves are quite long. This doesn’t bother me because I think it’s just as cute oversized & I also think it’s cute with the sleeves rolled up a bit
-The fit is very generous & oversized. Stay true to size for an oversized fit or size down for a tighter fit.
-The ribbed material & buttons just make it so stinking cute!

So, without further ado, here is the cardigan. I bought it in both colors (the taupe & the cream) & love both!

This is the taupe & it is just such a perfect color. I really love it with my birkenstock boston clog lookalikes. It’s all just a cozy vibe. I’m also wearing my new favorite Madewell Jeans (I LOVE THEM!) & highly recommend them.

Here is the lighter color, the cream, & it will match with everything! I went for a comfy casual look here with, again, the birkenstock boston clog lookalikes & some comfy sweat shorts & a tank.

Three Floral Dresses to Wear All Summer Long

These 3 dresses from Pinkblush are so dreamy and airy for summer. I love being able to just throw on a dress & go, and these are perfect for that. I have already worn each of them multiple times this summer & I plan on continuing to wear them!

In all of these outfits I am wearing my favorite Target heels (a small block heel & super comfy!) and my favorite rattan crossbody. I love to wear both these items to dress up my outfits in the summer!

This first dress has tie straps and a tie back–these details make it so cute & adjustable! I also love the tiers and the deep yellow color.

This second dress also has tie straps. It has a pretty open chest as well, so it’s probably better suited for a smaller bust. I love it because the small floral print is so cute and will transition well to fall!

This third dress is the one I have worn the most this summer! It’s got adjustable straps & has been super easy to throw on with sandals or other my bathing suit all summer long. It comes in a few other colors (pink, red, & blue).

What to Wear

My Go-To One Piece Swimsuits

These 4 swimsuits are my favorite one pieces to wear while I’m in the pool, at the river, or lounging in the sun. They all have good coverage for momming and are very comfortable.

This swimsuit is pretty popular from amazon. It comes in a bunch of colors (I love the look of the orange/brown one!) and is so pretty with it s ruffle straps and neckline, ruched belly area, and deep v neck.

I’ve had this Aerie swimsuit for at least 5 years now– It comes in multiple colors and patterns and is comfy and cute. I love this green color. I would recommend either sizing up or getting a “long” version.

This swimsuit is from Chicwish (and is on sale for around $20 right now!) and I LOVE the cutouts and print! I am wearing it strapless in this photo, but it comes with removable straps.

This is my newest swimsuit and it’s from Pinkblush (use MARISSAELISE25 for $ off!). It comes in a few colors and the ruched stomach and tie straps make it so much cuter than just a basic black swimsuit!

Style Sessions, What to Wear

A Linen Blend Striped Tee: Styled with Shorts

I styled this tee in a previous post with 3 different types of pants & I am back to style it with shorts! It is only $10 at Target and I love the subtle stripe print, but it comes in other colors as well. I sized up one but I could have stuck with my normal size. It is a linen blend so if you’re sensitive to materials like that you may find it slightly scratchy.

Look number 1 is biker shorts & a linen/cotton top tied around my waist. I like a little more bum/front coverage with bikers so this tied around the waist shirt is a good option! I love these taupe bikers and I went up one size for ultimate comfort.

These Levi 501 shorts have been super popular and for good reason– they’re really cute! I stayed true to size but would size up for a baggier/comfier fit.

I am not kidding when I say I wear these athletic shorts multiple times a week! I also own them in taupe and they are SO comfy and cute.

Linen shorts are so classic for summer– this pair is perfectly comfy and cute. I linked this year’s version of them (which I think I like the look of even better!).

Which look is your favorite? I love denim shorts, but casual and comfy shorts have my whole heart!
