10 Layered Looks for Cold Winter Days

Here are some of my most recent outfits! As always, there is lots of layering, fun colors, textures, and a mix of comfy and put together.

Where I live in Northern NY, winter is long. You’ll be seeing me wear layers and cozy items for a good long time until spring decides to show up.

This flannel is older, but I loved pairing it with these favorite jeans (on sale for $39.99 right now!) and my black leather Chelsea boots.

A puffer vest is such a staple for me and I love it paired with a cozy oversized sweater and cute boots (these ones are actually rubber rain boots but don’t look it and are SO comfy!)

Rubber Boots Aren’t Just For Rainy Days (4 Cute Outfits)

Rubber boots (or waterproof boots!) are a NECESSITY as we head into spring. This pair from Merry People is so cute, comfy, and versatile! They come in lots of colors and I love this burnt orange color! It’s not necessarily a neutral, but it matches a lot of the colors and tones I already have in my wardrobe, so it works really well for me.

I put together four outfits to wear as we head into spring. Now, spring where I live is still really cold and snowy, so these looks reflect that. If you live in a warmer climate, you may be better off saving these looks as winter outfit inspiration.

Outfit 1: a neutral oversized sweater, straight leg jeans, and a bag that matches the boots! A perfect cozy and put together look!

Outfit 2: denim on denim with some fun pops of color! This scarf is the prettiest color (unfortunately sold out now) and I love it with the orange boots (don’t forget to add a matching bag)!

Outfit 3: a cozy yak wool sweater, puffer vest, and cuffed wide leg jeans. Add a neutral bag and you’ve got a super cute early spring or winter look!

Outfit 4: go *almost* monochromatic with a grey sweater, cream wide leg pants, a cream scarf and then add some color with the bag and boots! Green and orange are my favorite colors so I love pairing them together!

8 Fleece Vest Outfits for Winter

I really love a good vest and I own three puffer vests and wear them often. But generally, a puffer vest is an item you take off when you’re inside (not always! But sometimes), and I wanted a vest that I could also wear inside to complete my outfits.

I decided to buy a Columbia fleece vest, and of course, when I got it I tried it on with all sorts of items in my wardrobe, because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I could only wear one way. I came up with five different outfits, and I’ve worn it three other ways since, so here are eight fleece vest outfits!
