Three Different Ways to Style a Utility Jacket for Fall

A utility jacket is a classic wardrobe staple. It can be worn in (almost) all seasons, depending where you live. I own a green one, which seems to be pretty classic, but they come in all sorts of great colors (I’m loving the burnt orange one from target!). I wear mine in spring, summer & fall & it is so versatile. I bought my jacket years ago, when I was still in college, from Old Navy. It has held up well for me and I will be linking similar options. Old Navy has a bunch of different green jackets in different styles including cropped, long, hooded, soft twill, & more utility-like materials. They also come in all sorts of colors & make me want to buy a new one in pink or gray! Ha!

I am styling my jacket three different ways. I hope that this will give you some inspiration for styling any style or color utility jacket you own! (I apologize in advance for my dusty mirror, I didn’t realize until after how absolutely dusty it was!)

  1. With stripes
I feel like this is the most classic of all. Who doesn’t love a good army green color with stripes?! I paired it with my power straight jeans and my brown mules.

2. With a dress or a skirt
I loveeee a jacket with a skirt or dress. It gives it more casual vibes and keeps you warm. This skirt is new from Old Navy and I am in love with the print! I thought the green and the rust color of this skirt paired nicely together.

3. With leggings & a graphic tee
The most casual outfit of them all, but so very cute! You could also switch out regular leggings for a faux pair with booties just to step it up a bit. This casual graphic tee is the perfect color for fall & says “Talk Pumpkin Spice to me”.
My sneakers are sold out, unfortunately, but I will link some similar options.

How do YOU Define Brave?

We are all brave in our own unique way & I wanted to share some examples of how I see the women in my life as brave:

•My mom is brave because she has a disease that causes her to be in pain constantly & yet she still goes to work & gives it her all everyday ?
•My oldest sister is brave by choosing to homeschool her son this year & also the daily struggle it is for her to live far from family ?
•My other sister is brave by being 33 weeks pregnant, working full time as a physical therapist, & spending every other waking moment working on the building of her new home ❤️
•I #definebrave for myself by setting boundaries even when it’s hard & uncomfortable & by continuing to grow & try to be a better person ?

I am so happy to be partnering with katiekactive in their #definebrave campaign! The purpose of this campaign is to celebrate women who inspire, motivate, & support others to be brave! ?

Petite Friendly Sweaters & Cardigans

I had a follower reach out looking for sweater & cardigans that are petite friendly.
I was able to find some great options from Old Navy, Asos, and J. Crew Factory! These are are all stores that have petite options & I love that, especially when it comes to clothing that can be overwhelming on a petite frame, like sweaters & cardigans.

Clothing That Makes a Difference

I am partnering with a company called Savelands that has an awesome mission: for every item they sell, they plant 12 trees! They have already planted over 1.5 million trees and counting. It is such a great mission & I am so excited to get to bring some awareness to it.

They also have the CUTEST graphic tees, sweatshirts, jackets, masks and crewnecks, so supporting the planting of trees can be fashionable too!

Here is the link to the crewneck I’m wearing! I’ll add the other items I’m wearing to the bottom of this post.
