Three Ways to Wear Loafers

I’ll be the first to admit that I thought loafers were ugly and not my style. I thought they were too preppy and that there was no way they could fit into my wardrobe.

Well, it just goes to show that tastes change, because I am in love with this beautiful suede pair from Beckett Simonon (gifted). You can read more details on their website, but their shoes are ethically crafted and made to order. They’re incredible quality and just stunning.

I challenged myself to find three ways to style these loafers and I did—all three ways feel comfortable and like “me”, so I think I did pretty good.

I love this look— the wide leg jeans with the cuff make it so different than a normal wide leg jeans look. The browns are all super cohesive and bring it together.

These barrel leg pants are super comfy and I love pairing green and brown together! The cream cashmere sweater has pulls it all together and makes it a great neutral look.

This outfit is giving Parisian vibes and I’m here for it. The silk scarf is a fun find from our vacation to Cape May, NJ last year (I found a super similar one to link). I also love how black and brown pair together, so the pants were a good choice.

All outfits are linked HERE (including a bigger pair of loafers). Loafers linked HERE.

These green barrel leg pants from Quince are so comfy. They come in other colors (burnt orange & black) and I’m considering ordering the black as well.

I found these Levi jeans in the back of my closet. I bought them two years ago and they were way too small, so I was going to sell them on poshmark. I’ve lost some weight and they fit me great now and I like the way they look cuffed up like this.

3 cozy outfits for the winter season

We’re in the thick of January & the winter temperatures seem to be just beginning. I’m hopeful the snow is here to stay & it looks like negative temperatures next week. For me, this means I want to be as cozy & as warm as possible, all while still trying to remain semi cute. I put together a few cozy outfits I’ll be wearing this winter with items from Pinkblush.

If you prefer video content, see the reel HERE.

At the end of the post I will link everything I can (& similar items if something is older/sold out). I will be using affiliate links which means I make a small commission if you choose to use my links to order something. There will be no additional cost to you, and it is a great way to support creators/bloggers like me. Thanks for your support 🙂

This sweater is soooo soft and has a super cozy material. The color is a warm beige & it goes well with my Portland Leather Festival bag (my bag is the honey color) & my chelsea boots (my boots are the bourbon color)!

This sweater is such a pretty taupe color & is a lookalike for the popular free people easy street tunic. It works well for a casual outfit with jeans & is long enough to wear with leggings for an even comfier outfit.

I own these black linen pants in the taupe color & really love them so I wanted a black pair as well (they come in a bunch of colors). I love the thick waistband and the cute wide leg cut. They’re extremely comfy & cute. I paired them with this rib knit sweater & a pair of heeled black booties to make them more appropriate for winter weather.

Which cozy winter look would you wear?

1 Soft & Cozy Sweater, 8 Ways

I have collaborated with Sozy to put together 8 outfits with one comfy sweater. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant, so all of these outfits work with & without a baby bump for this time of year!
The sweater is the Ava Sweater from Sozy. Sozy stands for soft & cozy & they nailed it with this one– pretty sure it’s the softest thing I’ve ever put on my body! The sweater is drapey & comfy so it’s perfect for a baby bump or just when you want to be comfortable & cute.

I love Sozy because they are doing so many great things while offering comfy clothes! 10% of their profits supports survivors of sexual violence, they’re female founded, their clothing is made in the USA, they are consistently working towards being an even more sustainable brand, & of course, their clothing is amazing quality! What’s not to love?! You won’t be disappointed when you order from them!

Let’s jump right in to styling the Ava sweater!

Look #1: Ava Sweater, distressed skinny jeans, booties, & tote bag
this look is put together without overdoing it. I am wearing maternity jeans, but of course regular jeans would look just as great for this polished but simple look.

Look #2: Ava sweater, midi skirt, & booties
I LOVE a midi skirt with a cozy sweater so this look is checking all my boxes. A little tip for skirts &dresses in the winter: add stockings or tights and you’re good to go for extra warmth!

Look #3: Ava sweater, black skinny jeans, booties
Black skinnies always class up a look & it’s no different here. Again, I’m wearing maternity jeans, but for those of you who aren’t pregnant, regular jeans with an even more exaggerated front tuck would look perfect with this flowing sweater!

Look #4: Ava sweater, bodycon dress (or skirt!), booties & crossbody bag
This is one of my favorite looks with this sweater because it’s so unexpected, yet looks great. The long sleeves peeking out from under the sweater really pull the whole look together & bonus! keep you super warm. A crossbody bag just makes the look more casual & is, of course, functional.

Look #5: Ava sweater, straight leg jeans, & booties
Straight leg jeans add a casual & cool girl vibe to any outfit & I love that! These ones have distressing & are, you guessed it, maternity. I also love the raw hem as it makes the look even more interesting. For non-maternity, I love the idea of tucking the Ava sweater into regular jeans for a comfy yet composed look.

Look #6: Ava Sweater, mini skirt, & booties
This look may work better in the fall or spring if you live in a colder climate like I do, but it’s so cute I might just freeze to wear it! The oversized sweater with the flowing skirt looks perfectly boho. A tip: when it comes to oversized sweaters, roll your sleeves for a less overwhelming look on top!

Look #7: Ava sweater, leggings, & slippers
The softest & coziest look of all! You can’t get more comfortable than leggings (sweatpants would work too!) and this sweater is perfect for those. For going out I could add long boots or warm socks & comfy chelsea boots.

Look #8: Ava Sweater, flowing midi dress, & booties
To get this look I belted my dress & then tucked the sweater into the dress to make it look like a sweater/skirt combination. You can see the sleeves peeking out which makes the look more polished. I love the bright dress with the neutral sweater!

That concludes my styling session of the Ava sweater & after styling it so many ways, I would highly recommend it. It’s certainly a versatile piece & is so stunningly soft that I made my husband pet it when I received it in the mail–haha!
