Outfits from the Last Couple of Weeks

We have a few days of really warm weather coming up and I am so excited! I’m not convinced spring is TRULY here yet, but it’ll be nice to have a little taste of it.

Here are some of the outfits I have worn over the last couple of weeks. We lost all of our snow and then it all came back in a quick snowstorm and then melted again. We’ll see what’s in store for the rest of “winter”!

As always, I’ll link everything I am wearing below each photo. I do use affiliate links which means that if you purchase something using one of my links, it’s no additional cost to you. Thanks for your support in keeping this blog running 🙂

This was my Valentine’s Day outfit. I wore this sweater during the Christmas season as well— it’s perfect burgundy for both holidays.

This outfit is soooo cozy! Perfect for a snowy day. My Daze Denim jeans have been real MVPs in my wardrobe this winter. I love the comfy relaxed fit and how they look!

One of the days of my son’s mid-winter break was spent cross country skiing as a family. It was fairly mild, so I was able to wear my favorite L.L Bean anorak. Unfortunately, this color way is sold out, but there’s multiple other color combos still available.

Another comfy and cozy outfit! My favorite way to be. My cardigan is unavailable, so I did my best to find similar options.

Green is a neutral in my wardrobe. It’s one of my favorite colors to wear!

I did a sort of “outfit sandwich” with this outfit—matching the cardigan to my socks. It gives it a cozy yet cohesive vibe.

I haven’t pulled this flannel shirt out in so long and it went perfectly with my blundstones and crewneck longsleeve. I definitely felt like a “granola girlie” in this look.

This outfit is fairly simple, except for the socks. It’s hard to see, but they’re a grey, white, and orange floral print and they’re so soft and comfy. They come in a 4 pack from Seasalt Cornwall and I love them!

P.S. this is my other pair of Daze Denim and I love em!

This outfit is super simple— the addition of the colorful scarf really is what makes the look interesting.

It truly surprised me how much I liked this outfit— it’s not colors I would normally put together but I love how it turned out.

I woke up wanting to wear this graphic tee in a winter way and after some playing around I decided to use this dress as a cardigan. I LOVE the pop of red with all the black accents and my light colored jeans ☺️

5 ways to layer a white tee & jeans for winter

A white tee & jeans is a great base for pretty much any season and time of the year. if I don’t know what to wear, a good place to start is putting on these two items and going from there.

Layering items, changing out shoes, and adding different accessories changes up the look entirely and certainly proves that you don’t need a whole lot of different clothes to have a versatile wardrobe. I’m wearing a short sleeve tee shirt in these photos, but I think a long sleeve tee would work as well, and it would add some extra warmth.

I will link each outfit below each photo. I do use affiliate links and this just means that if you purchase something using these links, I make a small commission at no additional cost to you. It helps support this blog and my family and I always appreciate it. Thank you!

The first look is layering a cardigan sweater over a white tee. I chose to button mine up, but you could also leave it unbuttoned if you prefer. This cardigan is part of a matching set from Amazon and I’m a big fan of this color.

I paired the cardigan with my Birkenstock Boston clogs and some layered necklaces.

This look turned out better than I expected— a black denim jacket with black Chelsea boots and a black leather purse. I love how simple it is, but it feels super put together. I think changing the denims out would look really great too (a blue denim jacket and black jeans). T

his jacket is from Kut from the Kloth and is very comfy with a good amount of stretch to it.

For this look, I just layered this taupe brown sweater over a white tee. I’m a big fan of how the collar of a white tee looks when it peeks out from under a crewneck. This sweater is 100% cotton and one of my favorites from Quince— it comes in so many colors.

To keep it matching and functional, I wore my blundstone boots. These are the 1306 boots in rustic brown. I have oiled them with mink oil several times, so they do look darker than when I originally bought them.

These last two outfits are the same outfit with two different scarves— I am really into a bright pop of fun color lately, but I know not everyone is, so I wanted to add a neutral option as well.

I truly love both outfits and would wear each of them, depending on how I’m feeling and wanting to look. Both scarves are from Amazon and two of my favorites. The shacket is also from Amazon and I own it in this green and also the taupe color.

I know it’s controversial, but I like to wear my bearpaw slippers as shoes out and about. I feel like they match my cozy, comfy, casual vibe and they’re also super cute.

If you’d like to save this post and graphic for inspiration for later, at the top left of each photo there should be an option to “save” on Pinterest.

Let me know if you’d enjoy a part 2 of styling a white tee and jeans. In my opinion, the style opportunities are endless!

How to Realistically Wear Black Denim Jeans in the Spring (10 different ways)

In the past few years, I have struggled with dressing how I’m “supposed” to dress and actually dressing realistically and how I want to dress. What I mean by that is that NORMALLY for spring its florals, pastels, & color, and while I do enjoy those things, I want to make sure I am dressing how I WANT to and not just what is on trend for the season. These ten outfits may not be your typical “spring” outfits, but they feel very “me”, are quite realistic for where I live, and I love them!

I bought these black denim jeans from Madewell this past winter and they’re so great, but sometimes I find them harder to wear than my blue jeans because I overthink it. This is why I decided to do some styling sessions, so I’d have inspiration to look back on when I want to wear them.

I created a few reels styling them and these are screenshots from those reels (which is why the photos aren’t amazing quality– but they give you the gist of the outfits, which is what’s most important ;). You can see the reels here, here, and here.

As always, I will link everything I can (and similar items!) at the bottom of the post. I use affiliate links, which means that if you purchase something using my links I earn a very small commission, at no addional cost to you. It’s a great way to support me on here and I always appreciate it. Thanks so much 🙂

I love this outfit. I wear this yellow/brown button up religiously in the spring/summer. I bought it from Target a few years ago, so it’s gone now, but I found an almost identical top that I linked below.

This jacket is a perfect spring color & is lightweight and comfy! I paired it with white sneakers which always look so cute for spring.

This little open weave sweater is so cute for spring. You can wear a tank over it or wear it open like I am. I paired it with my birkenstock boston clog lookalikes.

Black on black is always classic and I love this cardigan with the tortoise shell buttons.

This tan/taupe muscle tee is from chicwich and sold out in most sizes now, but I have an almost identical one from target that I linked. It’s so cute and the sleeves make it interesting. I’m wearing my birkenstock sandals and it’s such a casual vibe.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop wearing this cardigan from h&m that I have in two colors (sold out now). It’s the easiest thing to throw on and feel put together. I will link similar cardigans. It’s hard to tell in this photo, but I’m also wearing a striped linen tee. So comfy and cute!

Mott & Bow makes these great boxy cropped tees that dont need to be tucked to look put together. Again, I went with all black here and added a leather backpack and taupe birkenstock sandals for a cool casual vibe.

Chambray is a no brainer when it comes to pairing it with black denim. I chose a heather grey tee and white sneakers to really make this outfit cute!

If you’ve been around for the last year, you know this cotton button up has been a STAPLE in my wardrobe. It is currently sold out, but this style top is SO popular so I linked some similar options.

This outfit is the least “spring-y” of them all, but I love it just the same. It works for spring where I live (where it is still cold and wet and muddy). I love this 100% cotton organic sweater from Quince & you know I’m wearing my blundstones into spring as long as it’s wet out!
