April Outfits

Here’s a little round up of some of my April outfits! Part 2 will come next week ☺️

April started out chilly but it’s warming up slowly—so loving feeling the sun and getting to shed layers in the afternoon!

As always, I’ll link everything below the photo. I use affiliate links which means if you purchase anything using my links, I’ll want a small commission, at no additional cost to you. Thanks for your support 🧡☺️

This outfit is a favorite — I love wearing my cowboy (girl?) boots with dresses! My dress is older but I linked a bunch of similar ones.

This one’s super comfy—a cozy crewneck, loose jeans and comfy (and waterproof!) sneakers.

You’ll find me in this cardigan multiple times a month (usually at least once a week!) I just got a little 5 pack of lace bras from Amazon and think they look so cute peeking out from under it.

I’ve been wearing this graphic tee from Mountain Moverz on repeat— the colors are perfect for spring/summer and it’s a great comfy fit. You can use MARISSA20 for $$ off from Mountain Moverz.

We went to see Noah Kahan in concert and this was my look! I wanted to be comfy but still cute!

Love the little ditsy florals on this dress and I paired it with my new leather thin strap Tevas! Also wearing my quince cardigan again.

Linen pants season is here🙌🏽 these ones aren’t being made anymore, but I found some similar options!

A quilted jacket had been a great light layer to throw on this spring. This one isn’t available anymore but I found some similar options.

My “Mama Bear” sweatshirt is one of my favorite things to throw on when I wanna be comfy. I’ve had it for 3-4 years and it’s just an easy light layer!

This outfit was for a colder spring day— I love my crewneck sweaters like this (I own white and black because they’re so oversized and comfy!

Three Ways to Wear Loafers

I’ll be the first to admit that I thought loafers were ugly and not my style. I thought they were too preppy and that there was no way they could fit into my wardrobe.

Well, it just goes to show that tastes change, because I am in love with this beautiful suede pair from Beckett Simonon (gifted). You can read more details on their website, but their shoes are ethically crafted and made to order. They’re incredible quality and just stunning.

I challenged myself to find three ways to style these loafers and I did—all three ways feel comfortable and like “me”, so I think I did pretty good.

If your prefer video content, watch the reel HERE.

I will link everything at the bottom of this post. As always, I use affiliate links to link my outfits. This just means that if you buy something using my links, I earn a small commission, at no additional cost to you.

I appreciate your support more than you know! 🙂

I love this look— the wide leg jeans with the cuff make it so different than a normal wide leg jeans look. The browns are all super cohesive and bring it together.

These barrel leg pants are super comfy and I love pairing green and brown together! The cream cashmere sweater has pulls it all together and makes it a great neutral look.

This outfit is giving Parisian vibes and I’m here for it. The silk scarf is a fun find from our vacation to Cape May, NJ last year (I found a super similar one to link). I also love how black and brown pair together, so the pants were a good choice.

All outfits are linked HERE (including a bigger pair of loafers). Loafers linked HERE.

3 Neutral Cotton/Linen Items from Pinkblush

I have been SO drawn to linen & 100% cotton this year– I’ve learned that they’re more natural materials and last longer and I just love the look of them! They’re breezy, light, and comfortable. The three items I am sharing in this post are all made from either linen, cotton or both!

If you prefer video content, you can see the reel HERE!

As always, I will link the items I’m wearing at the bottom of the post via Liketoknow.it. This means if you purchase something using my link I will earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks 🙂

You can use MARISSAELISE25 for 25% off anything from Pinkblush!

These wide leg pants are 100% cotton and can be dressed up or down (I would say they’re kind of a sweat pant material, not a linen material like I had thought!). You can see that there is a wide, stretchy, elastic waistband for ultimate comfort & the wide leg makes them perfectly on trend. They come in several colors and fit true to size.

This boho top is adorable. I love the classic half linen/half cotton material and the cut of the blouse. The rolled sleeves with raw hem details add to the cuteness!I’d say it fits true to size for an oversized fit.

This crepe button up is also 100% cotton and so breezy. The raw hem edges make it very casual and the back is long enough to wear with bike shorts (or leggings!) and cover your booty. I love this neutral taupe color, but it comes in several more colors as well. It fits true to size for an oversized fit.

Do you wear linen or cotton? Which is your favorite look?

How to Style Sock Booties (Sustainable brand Vivaia Shoes Review)

Vivaia is a brand that reached out to me about trying their sustainably made shoes. After researching them & finding out more about their company, I decided to give them a try! All views are my own and the shoes were gifted to me by Vivaia.

If you prefer video content, check out my fun reel HERE!

The number one great thing I was excited to learn about Vivaia is that their shoes are made with recycled plastic water bottles & ethically sourced wool (even the packaging that they send the shoes in is 100% recycled materials!). I was SO impressed with that fact, & even more so when I received the shoes & they were incredibly comfortable! A good portion of their shoes are even made to be machine washable which is also so convenient (unfortunately this pair is not because of the heel).

I chose the Zoe wool round-toe boots in my regular size (you just use their size chart to convert your US size to your EU size) and the color tan russet. It’s a beautiful brownish grey & it’s the perfect color that goes with just about anything (this pair is on sale right now for $83 and my code ma18 can get you an extra 18% off!).

Viviaia has a ton of shoe options on their site– boots, mules, loafers, flats, heels, sneakers, etc, and they also carry men’s shoes. Vivaia is considered a competitor of Rothys’ shoes, which I can’t speak to or review because I don’t own a pair, but they both are made for comfort & out of recycled materials. If you are interested in trying a pair of sustainably made shoes, Vivaia’s shoes start around $99, which is more affordable than Rothys are. They also seem to have more style options than Rothys.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Vivaia shoes to anyone looking for style, comfort, & sustainability. I’m looking forward to contining to wear and style my Zoe sock boots and to continue to support this brand!

I have styled these extremely versatile boots 3 different ways below. Most of my outfits are older pieces, but I will link similar options to what I’m wearing if you want to try to recreate look. I use affiliate links which means I earn a small commission if you purchase anything using my link, and it will be no additional cost to you. Thanks for your support! 🙂

Look number 1: A mockneck, cardigan & straight leg jeans.
This look is casual & comfy. I LOVE that these sock boots tuck perfectly into straight leg jeans. Makes them look so chic.

Look number 2: A mini boho dress.
The color of these boots pairs perfectly with black & I love that the taller shaft adds interest to an otherwise simple dress look.

Look number 3: A flowy top & skinny jeans.
The shaft of these boots is tight enough that they pair so well with skinny jeans too! Love that! Dress it up with a flowy blouse & you’ve got yourself a cute night out look.

Do you own sock boots yet? Which outfit would you wear?
