Three Ways to Wear Loafers

I’ll be the first to admit that I thought loafers were ugly and not my style. I thought they were too preppy and that there was no way they could fit into my wardrobe.

Well, it just goes to show that tastes change, because I am in love with this beautiful suede pair from Beckett Simonon (gifted). You can read more details on their website, but their shoes are ethically crafted and made to order. They’re incredible quality and just stunning.

I challenged myself to find three ways to style these loafers and I did—all three ways feel comfortable and like “me”, so I think I did pretty good.

I love this look— the wide leg jeans with the cuff make it so different than a normal wide leg jeans look. The browns are all super cohesive and bring it together.

These barrel leg pants are super comfy and I love pairing green and brown together! The cream cashmere sweater has pulls it all together and makes it a great neutral look.

This outfit is giving Parisian vibes and I’m here for it. The silk scarf is a fun find from our vacation to Cape May, NJ last year (I found a super similar one to link). I also love how black and brown pair together, so the pants were a good choice.

All outfits are linked HERE (including a bigger pair of loafers). Loafers linked HERE.

A White Tank Bodysuit Styled 6 Ways

I styled this super flattering Soma bodysuit 6 ways for summer & I could have kept going with all the styling options! It is such a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe and I am now officially convinced that a good neutral bodysuit is a staple!
My number one trick to not being uncomfortable in a bodysuit? Don’t button it on the bottom! For me that felt uncomfortable so I didn’t do it and it still looks great and gives you that seamless tucked in look (of course, depending on what you’re wearing).

I’ll link all these options & similar at the bottom of the post using my affiliate links. Affiliate linking just means that I receive a small commission if you purchase using my links, at no additional cost to you. Thanks for shopping my links and supporting me and all I do on my blog! 🙂

Three Different Ways to Style a Utility Jacket for Fall

A utility jacket is a classic wardrobe staple. It can be worn in (almost) all seasons, depending where you live. I own a green one, which seems to be pretty classic, but they come in all sorts of great colors (I’m loving the burnt orange one from target!). I wear mine in spring, summer & fall & it is so versatile. I bought my jacket years ago, when I was still in college, from Old Navy. It has held up well for me and I will be linking similar options. Old Navy has a bunch of different green jackets in different styles including cropped, long, hooded, soft twill, & more utility-like materials. They also come in all sorts of colors & make me want to buy a new one in pink or gray! Ha!

(this post contains affiliate links, which means I may make commission if you choose to buy something through the links I share. It won’t cost you anything extra & I appreciate your support!)

I am styling my jacket three different ways. I hope that this will give you some inspiration for styling any style or color utility jacket you own! (I apologize in advance for my dusty mirror, I didn’t realize until after how absolutely dusty it was!)

  1. With stripes
I feel like this is the most classic of all. Who doesn’t love a good army green color with stripes?! I paired it with my power straight jeans and my brown mules.

2. With a dress or a skirt
I loveeee a jacket with a skirt or dress. It gives it more casual vibes and keeps you warm. This skirt is new from Old Navy and I am in love with the print! I thought the green and the rust color of this skirt paired nicely together.

3. With leggings & a graphic tee
The most casual outfit of them all, but so very cute! You could also switch out regular leggings for a faux pair with booties just to step it up a bit. This casual graphic tee is the perfect color for fall & says “Talk Pumpkin Spice to me”.
My sneakers are sold out, unfortunately, but I will link some similar options.

Biker Shorts Styling

Alright, so I’ll be the first to admit that I was sooooo not into the biker shorts trend. I thought it looked terrible and why would you want to mess up a cute outfit with those ugly things? Butttt, then a worldwide pandemic happened and I was all about comfy clothes and I bought a pair and WOW! are they ever comfortable!
I found some ways to make myself feel cute in them and here are they are! (all links will be at the bottom of this post.)

(this post contains affiliate links. I receive a small commission if a purchase is made using these links & there is no additional cost to you. Thanks for your support!)

The first way is super casual– with a sweatshirt! I have been liking the tie-dye trend but I’m not super into all the bright colors of it so this yellow streaked (almost coffee colored) sweatshirt is perfect. So comfy and over-sized.

This second look is perfect for running around doing errands or any mom activity. This linen-blend tee from Old Navy is super cute with a pocket and very comfy. I threw my jean jacket on along with my favorite summer bag and Croc sandals and it’s a casual look.

This look is a little more bohemian– my top I’ve had forever (but I’ll link similar) and it’s perfect because it covers my bum. I’ve got these comfy slide sandals on and it makes it a perfect boho look.

Tell me, are you into the biker shorts trend? Totally understand if you’re not! I think it is certainly an acquired taste, haha!

If you like biker shorts, which of these outfits would you wear?
