A Week of Teacher Outfits (or business-casual jobs)

I haven’t been in the classroom in about 10 years, but one of my favorite parts about teaching was putting together outfits that felt like me and were still teacher-appropriate. I even took outfit photos back then! I’ve always loved having a reason to get dressed up🧡

Of course, every district has different rules so if these don’t work for you, I understand and you can modify these if needed.

I know there are LOTS of teacher style accounts out there, and when I get requests for teacher style I point to them, (two of my FAVORITES are @scarfandamug and @happykickss – they do an AMAZING job of adding their personality and fun into their teacher outfits!) but I had fun putting together these teacher outfits that were requested by many of you— let me know if you want to see more!

At the conclusion of the blog post, I’ll include links to everything (or a comparable option if it’s from an older piece, as mentioned in the LTK details). Outfit 1: wearing size xs petite in the lime green sweater and my black and white floral midi dress is older so l linked similar options. My tall brown boots are discontinued so l linked similar. The bolo tie is a fun Etsy find!

Outfit 2: wearing size 4 in the orange wide leg pants (I need a smaller size— I bought these when I was heavier) and size medium in the brown cardigan sweater.

Outfit 3: wearing size small in this floral midi dress (more maxi on me because I’m petite). My tall brown boots are older so l linked similar ones.

Outfit 4: wearing a size small in the graphic tee (use MARISSA20 for $$ off) and small in the “cardigan” (it’s the dress from the last outfit, below👇🏽 ). My black wide leg jeans are size 0 and I cut them off because I’m short. My black Chelsea boots fit true to size and are so comfy.

Outfit 5: wearing size small in this black button front dress (buttons are functional as you can see in outfit 4!) and 6.5 in the tall black boots. My boho silk scarf is older so I linked similar styles.

All outfits are linked HERE🖤

Seven Ways to Wear One Cardigan

I bought this pretty brown cardigan recently because I don’t have any fine knit crewneck cardigans. It is very versatile (as seen here) and so soft and cozy! I am wearing size medium because small wasn’t available when I ordered it, but I like the oversized fit and I just roll the sleeves up.

Outfit 1: my wide leg jeans are Levi’s and I’m wearing size 25 and I cuffed them myself. I also linked a few similar cuffed pairs. My Mary Jane shoes are a size up and so comfy.

Outfit 2: this green printed midi skirt is a size small and my brown heeled boots are older so l linked similar.

Outfit 3: my orange wide leg pants are a size 4 and I really need them to be a size smaller—I bought them when I was heavier. Paired them with my Birkenstock clogs and cozy socks.

Outfit 4: this black and white printed dress is older, so I linked similar options. My tall black boots fit true to size. My silk scarf is older so l linked similar.

Outfit 5: these boyfriend jeans are from Walmart (linked here) and I’m wearing size 0. My bearpaw slipper shoes fit true to size.

Outfit 6: wearing size 0 in these black wide leg jeans and they fit true to size. I cut them off because I’m shorter. My brown boots are older so l’m linked similar.

Outfit 7: this green satin slip skirt is a size xs and fits true to size. My tall black boots are linked and work great for smaller calves.

Everything is linked HERE (except for the Walmart jeans, which are linked above).

Fall Outfits from Baltic Born

I did a little fall collaboration with Baltic Born and wanted to share the pieces I chose! They’re a great place to order from if you need wedding guest options, family photo outfits, or any type of outfit for a fancier event (but please be aware that their return policy only lets you return for store credit).

I’m wearing size xs in everything except for the brown dress (it’s size small because it doesn’t come in size xs).

You can use MARISSA15OFF for $$ off from Baltic born.

Under each photo, there’s a link to the item (or a similar option if it’s an older piece, as noted in the LTK description). I thought this little green sweater was so cute! I paired it with jeans here, but also wore it with a denim skirt & tall boots this past weekend and it was so cute.

I love a midi/maxi dress and this one has a really comfy fit and adorable sleeves! Paired it with brown accessories for a cohesive look.
